My I-Drive system notifies me that I need to replace my brake pads every time I start the car. I also have an illuminated red "BRAKE" light on my dash but I didn't engage the parking brake.

My mechanic said my brake system is fine. The control messages inside my I-Drive also indicate that the brakes are good, despite the notification. The message and light did not go away after a computer reset.

It sounds like I need to replace my sensors. What do you think? Have you guys encountered this issue before?
