You're getting a deal, actually - I wish I'd had my factory diff rebuilt to 3.91 rather than going the Dinan route, which was over $3k. When I asked around, everyone touted going with a tuner diff like Dinan because it was less risky, but anecdotally it seems about half go back because of issues, which mine did.
