The sound isn't there (particularly in the Cayman) so that's a disappointment, however having driven prior Caymans I will say that the newer motor had significantly more torque, which was welcomed. The ability to slap a tune on the car and extract even more power and torque is awesome. From a pure driving perspective and ignoring the sound, they're better engines than what was in before without a doubt. Excited to see if the upcoming 718 GT4 has a 4.0L derivative though
