arhhh shit.....

i had my problems during install trust me, unfortunatly this is a VERY complicated install and needs to be done to anal levels of perfection, one thing slightly out of line.... = problems.

the metal on metal sound IS NOT something you should be experiencing, if that compressor blade touches the houseing you need a new one s/c.. simple as that, are you sure the oil hasnt drained out the unit and left it running dry???

My BOV does have a very slight whistle are certain revs but its certainly not bypassing on part throttle?? again this is why a compliment of gauges let you know exactly whats happening, i think you need to stop using the car im afraid........

Ess WILL sort you out, im confident of that, they'll be watching this thread now ;-) your experiences are SO far from what ive seen their may be a install issue here...... ive had 2 installs now at my very very good shop hre in the uk and not once have i experienced what your saying BUT,.. these things happen, hold your nerve and it'll al come good.

you Need that crank pulley, after that i feel you may need a new s/c unit and BOV.
Does belt alignment look good? pull the s/c intake and cool @ the compressor blade ;-)

p.s i did have my issues as well, you just gotta keep cool and work it out with ess!! i promise they wont let you down.
