One thing I noticed when I had both an e90 and e60 as loaners was that the brakes were much more sensitive than the 3.0si's. The brakes on the Z felt more linear but it lacked the initial bite from the other cars I drove so your experience with e82 brakes isn't surprising... congrats!

Maybe I missed this but are you using oem pads or aftermarket?
