Most mufflers have a bracket where the bolt slides thru the bracket hole. You tighten a nut on each side of the bolt, thereby securing the bracket to the hanger. If you look at the Remus (and apparently the RPI) bracket, there is a nut welded to the bracket. This would work fine with the DKF Isolator (that little rubber bushing with a bolt sticking out of both sides) but once you start to insert the isolator bolt into the welded nut on the muffler bracket, there is no way to torque it enough to completely secure it into the nut. In other words it won't hold. Pretty wordy explanation, but I hope it helps. Here is a pic of a Remus bracket (up close) and a Diablo bracket so you can see the difference:
