I did just that--$199 for an HP laptop with 3GB RAM at Best Buy. A disposable laptop! (One of my friends' laptop got run over in the pits at VIR, so cheap is good!

I'm sure there's switched power at the ECU, somewhere among the million wires... Just which one? I assume that the Solo will stop drawing once fully charged, so hopefully not an issue to have it un-switched.
