The photo from BimmerFile is a different mule and it is not necessarily older but the, joystick and iDrive are newer additions. The new iDrive controller has not been tested outside in the real world for all that long! Also, the trim pieces in the cars can vary up until final production, mules can be for interior items, tech, drive-train etc. BMW rarely puts everything in until final production is ready. Even with the 7, some have have things and others have other things. It is a cat and mouse game!
