Speedo is not affected as late model BMW's reads speed from the wheel speed sensors and not a sensor in the transmission.
The only jerkiness I can see happening is if you were to have a clutch type LSD that is engaging and disengaging all the time. If you ever driven a car with a detroit locker, you will know what I mean. You will never have such a thing with the Quaife, it's super quiet, you wont' even know it's there.
