I should make a video of this, but actually the CF violin sounds great. It's very bright, and much more sensitive than my old wood violin; though my wood violin is nothing special. The CF does project sound differently than a normal violin. Where in a normal violin the majority of the sound is projected through the f holes, the CF violin projects its sound through the entire body. The CF body conducts sound waves much better than wood does, so the sound protrudes evenly in every direction. When I'm playing, it sounds a bit hollow, but from a few feet away it sounds like a great violin.
