I had the same issue while my car was under warranty. Since I could never recreate it while at the dealer, I took a video of it doing the rev drop for a few days and showed it to my service advisor. They performed some kind of software update and it hasn't happened since. The receipt for the service just says "Fault stored. Need to program DME."
