My 06 Z4MR experiences the 'blip' on startup too, after it has sat for a while or when it gets cooler. First time it happened, my heart sank, but it seems to be a pretty normal thing, judging by responses here and in another thread on this site. A lot of guys seem to eliminate it with 0% ethanol gas.
