SDCoupe 265/275 is in the right range, but it depends on the mfg

Too much emphasis is placed on "265" sizing method, what really matters is the tread width.
E.g
- a DirezzaZII 265 has a tread width of 10 inches
- a Bridgestone RE71r 275 has a tread width of (drum roll please) ..........10 inches

TireRack is a good resource for looking up tire specs.

That said, for best tire performance (track / AutoX) the tread width should not exceed the wheel width.
It should also be, not less than wheel width (ww) less 0.5"

If tread width exceeds wheel width the side wall is in a structurally weaker position which allows more side to side tread movement/squirm.
This produces more heat and less sensitive steering inputs.
You don't want 'stretch' fitment either for obvious reasons.

So, IMO the tread width of a tire on a 9.5" wheel should be ....
< ww and >(ww - 0.5)
