It's hard to tell what the issue is from your description but if you're indicating the top of the tire sticks farther out on one side than on the other, that's camber and that's adjustable. There are some bushings in the rear control arms that can degrade and exaggerate the difference.
If you're indicating the tire/wheel looks closer to the rear or front of the car more so than the other side, the only thing I can think of that would allow that is the rear trailing arm bushing on one side is defective. That's the part that has the most effect on the front to rear position of the rear tires.
