There are still a number of breakers and other artifacts of the era such as row houses (in which the miners lived) and mansions (owned by the mine executives) in the general area. All would be photogenic when coupled with your talents. Might be worth another trip when the weather is more receptive!

Sounds like a great idea. A lot of wealth was created very quickly when "Coal became King," so I can imagine that the mansions are pretty impressive. I don't suppose you could arrange for Sean Connery to be on hand for my tour, could you?
