Yes and no, it gives you a hard stop right at the point where your clutch engages so you have less travel. This makes it a lot easier to feather in the gas and release the clutch very consistently. Makes you just have one less thing you have to think/worry about IMO.
For some it takes away the hard/bouncy shifts.
