Does anybody know whether this can be done without taking the car to the dealer? Are there any scan/coding tools will enable the Key Memory option?

A fellow club member has two somewhat pricey OBD tools but I don't recall the names. Using one of the readers we were able to enable Daytime Running Lights and top up using the remote lock button but couldn't find the Key memory options with that tool. He has another tool that he thinks will work but the OBD cable apparently has a loose connection. He has to see whether he can solder it or whether he has to buy a new cable.

If I do take it to the dealer how much will they charge?
