They did that last year as well. "Officially" the offer is only good until the end of the month, then next month it's "Whoa, BMW extended the offer, we had no idea they would do that." And hey, maybe they really don't get advance notice.

But BMWNA extended it until the end of December last time - after that, they'll pull "dealer support" and it's up to the dealer to decide if they want to continue trying to sell last year's model at a loss or just auction it off, still at a loss but without the continued expenses associated with keeping it on the lot.

I'm betting that the 2007 M Coupes will sell at Mannheim and other dealer auctions for $39-$41k or so, so by the end of this month it may be possible to snag one for $42k.
