The only reason that particular Z8 is being priced that the level is because jobs owned it for 3 years. I guess if you are enough of a tech geek, owning something from Steve Jobs gets your wood. A real car guy (we're on a car Forum here...) would buy a performance car for that kind of money regardless of his income level.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
