SOrry to be slightly OT, but ZStig, how would you compare daily driving 500bhp viper to 500bhp supercharged z4m?
460HP Viper had a lot more torque in low end and mid range, Supercharged Z4m has a more exciting pull in the top end of RPM. Power delivery is both cars is easy to control with no traction control, unless you're an idiot journalist. Viper feels faster because of all the torque.

Because the Viper is very wide, you're under a lot of extra stress when driving in the rain on the highway at night, and it isn't as enjoyable to drive through corners fast on the street because its so wide. It DOES grip as well, if not better than the z4m in corners. Turning the car around on the street, takes more than 2 lanes, and you're forced to back up while cars behind you wait. The turning circle is VEEERY annoying for daily driving.

Non-ABS brakes on the older vipers are scary, they lock up very easily. You can be a professional with threshhold breaking, but sometimes you just have to stop in an emergency, and you will create flat spots on your very expensive tires...

The shifter in the older viper, even with tranny mounts, fluids, an adjustable shifter, and a "ball detent" mod, is very un-pleasant to shift every day. Its also very easy to go into 2nd gear instead of 4th gear when you're going full throttle and trying to shift fast.

The air conditioning cannot keep up in the summer. It was very hot. and loud..8.5mpg gets expensive to run every day.

For weekends, I'd take the Viper. For a 500+hp car to drive as your main vehicle every day AND enjoy every minute, its hard to beat a supercharged z4m.
