I was able to complete the install last night; it took about 2.5 hours with the help of a friend. Removing the stock intake was definitely harder than installing the new one, but overall it wasn't terribly difficult. The hardest part was releasing the squeeze clips that connected many of the hoses. We did get it done without breaking anything and I was quite relieved when the engine fired up and no check-engine light appeared.
If anyone is interested, I made a video highlighting some of the steps we undertook to remove the stock manifold. Hopefully this will be useful for others who wish to do this mod.
Next step is the Active Auto Werk tune. Can't wait!
