I said some and I'm not turning it completely off. Normal mode is too aggressive at times and slows the car waaay down when quickly turning into the flow of traffic. In the wet it can be a bit more slippery but it's still not going to allow the back end to swing around. You can still be dangerous in the traffic with the traction control on normal. And if DTC Mode is kinda like normal mode on Z4 M it's no more dangerous than that and still far safer than, say, an old Porsche.

Don't be a dumbass, drive safe, and within your limits.
