Yup that engine/exhaust sound is amazing. My buddy has the vantage coupe. It is a very nice car, and as you said, the coupe is much much better looking than the roady. Lovely car all around that. Different to the z4m, but lovely non the less. The interior is miles ahead of the Z4, and definitely has that hand made quality touch to it. I wouldent swap it with mine.
