Yeah...not everyone knows this, but apparently the S54 has the fourth highest maximum linear piston speed at stock redline of any production engine, including Lambos and Ferraris
. It's truly a mad engineer creation that is just built strong to withstand the ridiculous forces it is subjected to, and we are edging well into that overengineering margin just to run the VT2-500. Since the most dangerous forces on the engine increase as the
square of engine speed, not just linearly, I actually only intend to break 7k if the car is on the dyno or if I
really want to impress a passenger...or beat a supercar
