well now i know some small differences from 3/4 and 5, however it still doesn't answer the question if 4 is what i should use on this 04 z4.
i read on UK articles that 4 is recommended and no issues. i read on one bimmerforum that they strictly recommended against 4 and said to go with 5. so yeah this is where the confusion comes in for me.
