So just finished installing a new radiator and another water pump (the one I had previously installed was broken and the first had a bit of play in it). Cut open the radiator and it was clogged up worse than the DMV. What was the original culprit? The world may never know. Either my use of prestone vs the original blue coolant, just a freak thing of high miles on my car, a bad coolant flush who knows. And what was the gran total spent this time around? $740 out the door. Bit expensive but peace of mind knowing its not a head gasket or a cracked head. Hope my posts are helpful to anyone that might go through something similar.
