8.5/9.5 sounds like it should work so not sure why you want spacers "to make up for offset"... Also keep in mind while a 235 is fine width wise it may rub up front fit to it being an extra third of an inch taller. I say it may because that was jt experience but I also had a slightly more aggressive offset than yours at the time. YMMV
