this is true...
i guess i was operating under the impression that if one were to replace the stock airbox with a CAI and put in an RPI scoop, might as well just remove the carbon filter and save some $$$.
i should have been more clear.
but... yes. if you do anything at all to your intake and BMW discovers this, they may pin failures on the vehicle owner's modifications rather than put the repairs to warranty.
