I need to do some digging through my files, but IIRC, I thought someone had posted on one of the forums that they had removed the cannister and plugged the hoses (US car) when they had converted to dual. They also said that no lights were activated. I don't know if it would pass some of the more strict inspections such as the People's Republic of Kalifornia.
