Btw as your car progresses and you get to the point of installing a cage, let me know. I'm thinking about doing a half cage but chances are you'll beat me to it so it'd be good to know what's involved, who you went with, etc.

Thanks for the info! I figured 245s should work. With the lighter weight (about 2800lbs) and not too much HP, I think they'll be good, plus they're cheaper than 265s.
Unfortunately, BFG doesn't make a 255/35 R1, so they go from 245/40 to 265/35.
We're crossed who is going to be doing the cage right now. Either we have Chris at Bimmerworks do it slowly over several weeks or have a local shop do it in two days and just pay them. It's about $1,500 for a full - NASCAR style cage. I'm not sure how much a half cage will be, but would be excellent for harnesses to hold you in place and added safety.
