I bought this for my car.
The previous owner decided he wanted to install the factory aux input, but after I tried using it and found that the radio didn't come up with an 'aux' option, I pulled the cover off.
This is why I didn't have an 'aux' option on my head unit...there wasn't a wire harness attached to it, and I haven't been able to find what the part number is for it.
