24MPG is a piece of cake in the Z4M.
I did a 100 mile Vancouver-Seattle trip a couple of weeks ago. Didn't go faster than 5mph over the speed limit. About half the time I was going 65mph and the other half I was going 75mph. I got 28.9MPG (actual MPG; not according to the OBC). AC on , 6th gear the entire way.
But I do have a few mods that - overall when combined- may or may not have increased the gas mileage.
- hardtop (added about 60lbs)
-RPI scoop
-BMC filter
-ESS software
-lightweight wheels (lost about 25lbs compared to stock) & 235/265 tires
