Re spacer, is that based on a wheel template or have you actually tried mounting the wheel? The issue is the convex spokes so I can see how there might be a slight clearance over the calipers. But I’d just run a spacer and run a 245 tire.

The reasoning for the 285 is that it is smaller in diameter than the available 275 tires.
The real answer is for me to quit being cheap and buy a proper set of squared up wheels all around.
