What would you recommend looking at for the later braking individuals? lol Still reading reviews online, but won't be able to test anything this season (deployment)
I have done 2 days at Watkins Glen and 2 at Summit Point Main with these since the Road Atlanta event. Feedback is still the same - good braking, excellent modulation and excellent corner entry controllability as it stays out of ABS.

I have also had a chat with a Pagid engineer since and he said that the RS15 (Gray)Front/RS14(Black) Rear would be way too much braking power for a street car (no aero etc) on street tires (NT-05, RE-11, PSS etc) and I would be into ABS right from start of braking making heel/toe quite difficult. That being said, I have ridden with experienced drivers that like a setup like this and will brake very late and very hard (and get into ABS) and turn the car in in a more quick and dare I say abrupt manner while turning some amazing lap times.

It all boils down to your car setup, your personal preference and driving style. I like to be smooth with overlapping motions (braking to turn in to exit) and enjoy technical aspects like heel/toe, a bit of trail braking etc and find the RS29 (and I from Pagid, RS19s are virtually an identical compound) to work well for me.

I only use PF01 on my car. Used the Rs29 on my E46 M3 and they were good but miss the initial bite of the PF01.
What tires is your friend running on the GT2? Also, the GT2 has a decent aero-setup from the factory no?

I can definitely attest to your statement that the RS29s do not have strong initial bite - not like my Hawk DTC60s for sure. But I don't miss that. Like I said, its preference.

I don't DD my Z4MC much but do put a couple hundred miles a month on street in addition to driving to/from track. I find these to have good cold bite and very streetable. My friend is running RS19s on his Stage 2+ Golf R on track and street (his DD) and is pretty happy all around.
