BMW started legal action against all companies that they felt were making products too close to the original BMW designs. The result is companies like mo db ar ga ins cannot sell replica BMW wheels. Rumor has it that Sportline had to close it's doors due to it. OEMWheelsPlus stopped selling theirs early last year. Companies like VMR and Avant Garde have either fought and won, or haven't yet been focused on by BMW. My guess is the word 'replica' is the main source of the problem... "dilution of the brand", BMW calls it.
