The new VT2-525 does not run the same grey injectors as the 445/500 version of the kit. Both the 445/500 and 525 injectors are gray, but they are not the same. The new 525 injectors are ~20% larger and the software is completely different to run them. The 500 software is actually very good, what is limiting the older 500 kits power potential is the injector capacity. The software run on the older 500 kits is designed for the injectors that were used on that kit. The crank and water pump pulleys are different on the new 525 as well as the oil cooler mounting/hoses. The SC discharge tube is also now a revised 1 piece section. The new 525 was designed as an overhaul to the majority of the older kit to improve many aspects of it including performance.
VT2-500 customers who want to upgrade to the 525 spec kit in terms of power alone will need more than just a software update, they will need the new 525 spec injectors, new water pump and crank pulley/belt in addition to the new 525 spec software for the higher capacity injectors.
We are working on pricing for these upgrade solutions now and I will update soon as they are ready. First to be released will be the full kits followed shortly by the upgrade kits.
