Hi,
I have just purchased a 06 Z4 3.0si w/17k miles on it and I noticed (heard) the lifter tick on and off and from what I have read as the miles go up so will the problem.

From what I have also read that this problem is well know and widespread on both sides of the ocean.

I'm wondering if any group or perhaps has actually started a class action lawsuit or a recall for this issue.

I know my car is out of warranty but what the heck it only has 17,000 miles on it and I'm really not looking on forking out the cash on a new set of exhaust lifters (hva) only to find out that they may of may not work then have to go back and pay the money for a complete new head.

Not a rant, just was wondering with all of the cars with this issue that BMW has just basically ignored this issue.
