Softtop Hydraulic Pump Repair

I have a 2003 E85 with a Softtop hydraulic pump that failed and got the DIY from Shipkiller to do it this winter when car is not in use. Obtained hydraulic pump costs from dealer, Pelican and other Internet sources which would tap you around the $450-$500+ range.

I continuedly looked at other solutions to cut costs down on the pump and ran across Top Hydraulics Inc. out of Florence, Oregon. I spoke to. Klaus Witte from the company who explained their pump rebuild process.

I was quoted $200 plus $10 shipping of the pump back and if the motor is bad, an additional $50.00 would be required. he claims that the seals to be used are better than OE specs and would warranty labor and craftmanship for 3 years unless the pump has suffered rust and water damage again which damaged the pump to begin with.

I am sending my pump to this company. Just sharing the info and the opportunity to cut down costs.

Here is Karl's info, company info and link to their website.
