If you really want a sportbike you might consider a Euro bike, most I know who ride Triumph Daytona 675's considered other 600 class bikes but since the Japanese models are favored by the younger crowd who crashes more and those models tend to get stolen more for parts for that crowd they tend have higher premiums. Most of the Euro bikes are somewhat off that kind of radar of the insurance companies. I know many who went with Triumph or Ducati for that reason. I have a Triumph Sprint.
The only H-D that I really like is the XR1200 Sportster but both of those look pretty good.
