I can't remember about the stubby antenna, but it was from a store in the US. It took me a while to find it as I wanted a rubberized antenna for a more OEM look.
No reception loss that I noticed, but I didn't listen to the radio much. There's another antenna built into the trunk so this antenna is somewhat superfluous.
