I ended up mocking up mine from a piece of cardboard to get the desired shape and look and then cut the CF pieces.
You will want to lay masking tape in the area where you will be cutting/grinding as the CF and fibreglass backing will splinter off if not protected.

ok thanks but what happens to the finish? I see how there is a solid black at the edges and then the CF? So when you cut it, how do you maintain that? Sorry if Im not making sense
