The "Buffer Stop with Ejectors" are a well known problem and they come in two different spring strengths. Our cars come with the very high-strength spring that a lot of folks have replaced with the lower-strength spring units so they don't put so much pressure on the bottom of the ejector and break through. Also, make sure you don't slam your hood as that contributes to the ejector pushing through the buffer stop.
