Attrition may add to desirability as well. In regard to the coupes, of the 1815, at least 5-6 were "pre-production" cars, so I understand, that never made it to the road (usually they crush these so-called preproduction cars). From the forums and the one car I witnessed get totaled, there is another at least 6 that are no longer with us. Don't know as much about attrition with the roadsters, but with the coupes I'm quite certain they have to be into the 17xx's by now. Not a lot of numbers lost, yes, I agree, but as more and more meet their maker, there are simple less to go around.....
