What is stock camber value? More negative camber will give you better cornering grip
Where are you rubbing up front? Inside or outside? If you're rubbing the outside then going back to less negative camber will make it worse.
FWIW, I have 18x9 ET37 with wide-running 245/40/18 tires up front and I don't rub at all even during hard cornering at autocross. I added $5 camber washers so my camber is at -2.7*
