Saw that too Beedub. Sounds interesting but not really feasible for European owners right?
We didn't caught the trouble on my car and as a result it's spun bearings now and it's scored the crankshaft as well beyond the threshold for polishing the crankshaft and fitting oversized rod bearings...
Buying new crankshaft, the required rods and bearings is extremely expensive here. I'm now thinking of getting a used crankshaft from ebay (risk that it'll be OK with some oversized bearings and have it checked when it arrives) and used conrods, with new bearings..... Or a used engine and replace the bearings on that....
Opinions?
