Valeo is the manufacturer of the "OEM" starter. I would stick with Valeo if possible... not because it's better, but the ECU is very sensitive to electrical changes. The programming is over-engineered to model the alternator's output and response, and any deviations in hardware *could* cause odd behavior. I will caveat that I have not tested the Bosch alternator. I can confirm that cheaper Autozone alternatives WILL cause issues.
