If you stick to a 225 you'll be fine. If you move up to a 235, you might rub (not because it's too wide but the tire would sit taller if you stuck with a 40 sidewall). Only problem with a 225 is that it's a little narrow for that tire so you might lose the sidewall protection so be careful against the curbs. If you're in the market for new tires, I would suggest with going a RS3 or Star Spec which is known to sit wider than other brands so a 225 RS3 would be almost as wide as 235 as some other brands.
