Thill in Feb and March with NCRC have driving school--this covers flags, line, passing, rules, and an regular run session. HOD and track masters are noob friendly too.

I'm sure you could probably have one of the more advanced guys ride along (I'd be happy to, so would others) and help with line, braking technique, etc. You can also ride along with more advanced drivers too--that's a great learning tool as well.

I'd also plug for a car control clinic as well, but BMWCCA doesn't show anything yet for this year in your area (Posche club and BMWCCA Sacto region teamed up last year for one plus AutoX training, great learning experience). Krissi and I went, and even with quite a few track days behind us it was still great learning and practice! I'll see what I can dig up for this year as calendars for car control and AutoX training are posted.
