Status Gruppe has these identical s-pipes. I contacted them a while ago and they said it won't pass smog with catless headers. Even though it says "400 Cell CA OBD2 compliant Cats" as one of the options. Weird.

They have it listed on their site but I have a feeling they're meaning to take it down, I got a similar response when I spoke to them. At this point, they told me their S1 don't have o2 sensor bungs in them. According to Status Gruppe, the o2 sensors on Z4M are different when compared to the E46 M3.

In either case, hoping the CPI solution is a fix and worrying about smog (other than visual) will be a worry of the past
