Finding someone that can competently reflash the ECU from auto (or SMG) to manual is the biggest challenge in this swap on an E36, E46, or E85.  |
I did not know that this was an issue. On the next generation DMEs, there is only a single calibration file for all three transmissions. So an msv70 N52 can swap transmissions without any difficulty.
